Welcome to my blog on my writing progress. My name is Elly and I hope to take you on a journey with me, as I work through the editing process of my debut novel, with the end goal being getting it published.
It’s been a hard slog but if I’ve learned one thing in all my years, it that life will kick you in the teeth at some point, but you just have to get back up, dust yourself off and take one more step. Nothing for nothing in this world and I can honestly say that this first completed novel has been tough. Some days I just did not feel like sitting in front of the pc when I’ve already done an 8hr workday. Some days I’ve re-read what I’ve written and cringed, but perseverance is all we have some days. Just take one more step.
What I’m working on:
“Alliance” is my first completed manuscript. It’s taken over 30yrs to get to this point but I can finally say I’ve done it. Of course, the really hard work starts now. I am in the process of editing my novel and although it’s slow going, it’s such an achievement for me. At 46yrs of age, I have finally realised a dream and it feels amazing!
